Despite Best Qualifications and Party Favorite Christopher Zampogna Declines Run for Erie County District Attorney

Christopher Zampogna declined the Erie County New York Republican Party's offer to run for District Attorney citing loss of his booming legal practice in Washington, DC, financial sacrifice and commitment to the DC metro area as reasons. He spoke to party leaders, family and friends before making this difficult decision.

He worked as an assistant District Attorney in the Erie County DA's office from 1994 to 1999 and admires those who dedicate their legal careers to seeking justice as New York prosecutors.

He was honored to be considered by his home town to have the qualifications and temperment to run the second largest DA's office in New York State.
